Last Night in Tacoma

The moon came out after days of very hard rain. It was also our last night in Tacoma. We were up very late trying to finish our packing so that we would be ready for the moving van.

Around 11:45 pm our time we received word that my mother had just passed away. She is now in a better place than she has been in the last few months. We will miss her every day.

We have started our journey east. We left Tacoma Thursday night after the moving van was full and gone. The drive to Yakima was in a blinding rain storm. However, we made it with no problems. Our plans were to leave around 9:00 the next morning but sore, aching muscles and broken hearts delayed the start until around 12:30. The trip to Boise was uneventful. Arriving there was a relief however.

Our dear friends John and Carolyn Hynes opened their new home to us for two nights. The company and rest were most welcomed. Sandy Evans joined us for a short time Friday evening.

Yesterday we left Boise at 12:30 and arrived in Malad shortly after 5:00. We will stay here until Tuesday. The services for Mom will be held on Monday.
